hello world,
I am here to share my failures and takeaways
Hi! My name is Bruno Inojosa. I have definitely decided to start writing my first blog. I have been putting this off for a while, but this procrastination ends now. The motivations to do so are many, including practicing English writing and registering my thoughts somewhere, but mainly sharing the vast amount of failures I have made both as an entrepreneur and in my personal life and sharing the takeaways I have been learning from them.
This conversation here is continuous, like a diary of my life’s failures and I hope it helps me to enhance the learning I take from them. How? I would love to hear from you if you have lived some similar experiences. How was it? What were your takeaways? What are your advice? I hope also that this conversation helps others to avoid making the same mistakes.
I always learn from failures, maybe more then from my successful attempts, specially after I have failed in three (or more) startups and in my company. Despite the fact that I’m used to analyse carefully the unsuccessful situations in order to identify the reasons that made me fail and what I should do next time, I used to hide errors from my colleagues, family and sometimes from myself. The reason is that in my country, which is Brazil, failing is frowned upon by society (we certainly will discuss this later on). So, after have lived abroad in London, Washington DC and specially in the Silicon Valley, I realized how learning from fail situations are important in order to succeed in the next challenges.
That is it for now. At the end of every failure I describe in the following posts I will list the three most important takeaways for me. Feel free to correct share your experiences and comment over my mistakes.
