The Forest (Haiku #36–6 parts)

Brown and tall columns
Surround my empty body
Make me one with thee!

Taste the cold dew-drops
Feel the dim beam of the moon
Light my consciousness

In the dark, the breeze.
Why does it chill my stained soul
And spread my blood scent?

The wolves prowl at night
This pack of beasts feels me not
With the hollow trees

Run! Survival aches!
Become a monster myself
Accept my essence

I must kill to live
I must breathe to understand
Thy peace in chaos
