Value

I honestly believe that people are good. In business, I honestly believe that so many people go into jobs or go down paths that hinder their ability to project that good. This isn’t a passion speech. Obviously, you should find out what you are passionate about and go do that. That’s not always practical because of the real world events we have to live in. You have to pay to your bills and so many of us settle on the means in front of us to get to the end that we are looking for.

I am so very thankful that I work for the great company that is Tiger Dining. I work for some really amazing people. Aside from even the business part they are genuine and caring. I went to Auburn from 2005–2009. I had two years living on campus with our competitor. Chartwells won the contract in 2007 and the difference was night and day. Compass Group, Chartwells Higher Education, Tiger Dining, has made such a positive difference on the campus that I love. I often tell current students how lucky they are to have this company. A company that actually cares about the impact they have on the lives of their students.

By providing the Best possible Service, they are able to provide the most Value.

Last month (June 2017) I got a phone call from my buddy Ben. “Hey Bryan. Do you want to come to Little Italy for a beer?” I left my prayer/big dream conversations to go hang out. As it turned out, I potentially walked into the very situation I had been praying about earlier in the day.

Yes, we’re launching an app. It is a potential game changer. What if I could tell you that I could you an 85% conversion rate on your advertising dollar? Obviously, there are tons of details about uParty and if anyone wants information~ Bryan.Andress@upartyapp.com.

But this is where VALUE comes in. I was brought in to help sell the app. A phrase I’ve coined, and probably over used at this point is, “Hoodies need Suits and Suits need Hoodies.” I have two amazing app developers that have created a platform that has the potential to create so much value to students, businesses, local communities, churches, charities, lonely, bored… you name it. The tag line to the app is Get Paid to Party. But the truth is, know what’s going on tonight in and around your environment. We’ve created a piece of technology that encourages face-to-face social interaction on the premise of a symbiotic relationship between hosts and guests. This app allows our population to back out into the world where they can connect and network with the awesome people around them. That is Valuable!

What’s going to happen to brick and mortar businesses over the next decade is going to be devastating to local economies. I don’t foresee this app changing that. But I can envision the impact it can have on a million micro levels that make up a macro. So much money is thrown down the drain by spending marketing dollars on mediums consumers do not use. If we can change the way businesses advertise by raising their conversion rates to unseen levels, it will make them leaner and more efficient in the coming technology only world.
