Guiding Dogmas

  • I need to be able to see other people looking forward to my weekly posts
  • I need to be able to describe my blog in one clear line
  • I need to write about something I like
  • I need to write something that I’d be known for it (builds on my aspirations)

The Articles Test

  1. Has it been written about, and how extensively?
  2. Who cares about it, and are they my core audience?
  3. Is it a story? Is it a personal story?
  4. Does it do one of these things: Surprise/shock/has ridiculous factor — Makes people laugh — Makes people feel emotional — Incite controversy?
