I’m easy like a Sunday morning

Along with the yumminess of the rain this Sunday morning, a very bold message came forth in my morning meditation saying, “In this moment you are absolutely fucking ok. In this moment you are whole and complete. There is only this moment.”

I truly love that my spiritual path and relationship with God* (please see the end of article) comes with profanity. I would not have it any other way.

The point — you are ok in this moment and there is only this moment — sends a huge sigh of relief through my body. I can let myself off the hook!

Spiritual truth may not always be easy, but it is always profoundly simple.

We spend so much of our daily lives, myself included, consciously and unconsciously be-rating (always rating ourselves as a B or lower), belittling and hating ourselves for one reason or another. We constantly dislike this or that about our physical bodies, lives, careers and/or lack of career, and personalities. We constantly compare our insides to others’ outsides. We define ourselves by our past and live in the fear of the future.

If we truly loved ourselves the way we are intended to, the world would truly be a better place. There is no doubt about that.

The Garden of Genesis (Heaven) is one of oneness, love, peace, joy, abundance and prosperity. The moment I begin to think otherwise, hell begins.

When we begin to accept the notion that in this moment I am safe, whole and complete, humanitarian efforts would naturally become our top priority. Forgiveness would be the easiest thing in the world, because we would freely accept and forgive the shortcomings of ourselves and others. We would graciously love more because, like breathing air, it would be the most natural thing in the world. And generosity would be plentiful because we would know that giving and receiving are one and the same.

In the Bible, it says Adam fell asleep, and no where does it say he ever woke up. Time and space are an illusion — there is no past or future, there is only the NOW!

Give yourself a break today, right here, right now, in this moment. It does not matter how many followers, likes, claps or retweets you have on social media or how you perceive your outside world to be. In this moment let yourself off the hook, breathe deeply, relax and choose to let yourself free.

Give yourself a big huge wonderful goddamn hug, look directly into a mirror, into your eyes and boldly profess out loud, “ I love and approve of myself. I am whole. I am complete. My highest good and greatest joy are constantly unfolding. I am safe. All is well in my world. And so it is. Amen.”

*What I call God, you may call Source, Energy, Higher Self, Good orderly direction, etc. It does not matter the name, as long as you are aware of your connection.
