What did you do this past week?

This past week, I spent my time finishing up my coding assignment for Compilers, thinking about how I wanted to design my code for the Darwin project, registering for classes for next semester, playing a couple IM games, and meeting up with friends. It was generally a pretty chill week. I went on a camping trip yesterday but the weather got way too cold, and I was definitely not prepared. We ended up leaving early so that we could sleep warmly at home.

What’s in your way?

Although currently I don’t have anything significant in the way, I still have weekly coding assignments due, so that will definitely take up time during my weeks. Otherwise, for the most part, time management has consistently been a struggle. Also, finding a proper sleeping schedule has definitely not been easy. I’ve been sleeping way too late, so sometimes, it’s been a struggle waking up in the morning to make it to class. Hopefully, this week, I can fix my sleeping schedule and find a proper routine to where I feel comfortable and well rested, so that I can make all my classes and feel wide awake.

What will you do next week?

Next week, I have a coding assignment for OOP due on Thursday, so I will definitely be completing that project. IM basketball is also starting this coming week, which I’m pretty excited for. I also have a coding assignment for Compilers due the week after, but I’ve been trying to stay ahead of my schedule, so I’ll try to start working on that project as well so I don’t fall too behind.

What was your experience of the vector implementation? (this question will vary, week to week)

It was interesting learning about vector implementation, but I’m still confused on certain aspects. I unfortunately missed lecture when we first went over vector implementation, so that made me fall behind in what was going on in class. Hopefully, I can catch up and fully understand vector implementation.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to go out and enjoy yourself. The weather is starting to get pretty nice and chilly, so I’ve definitely enjoyed going outside and appreciating the city for what it’s worth. I’ve always enjoyed going downtown and exploring the city. The Austin Public Library is definitely my favorite building downtown. Hopefully, I can make the most of it before the weather get’s too cold and so can you!
