After Sunshine On Wednesday; Rain/Snow Heading Our Way Again…

It was really nice today to see some sunshine, after the rain and snow that we’ve had for much of the day today… but as all good thing do, they must come to an end….

High pressure has been in control for much of the region for Wednesday, but as we get into the evening hours tonight, we will watch the clouds increase and precipitation move into the area…

With some colder air hanging on into the mountains, we will see the possibility of a light wintry mix/freezing rain before everything changes over to rain, before the cold front moves through. A warm front will move through overnight, to our north, and that will usher in the southerly wind, and warmer temperatures.

I think we hit an early low temperature shortly after midnight, and temperatures continue to rise as the warm front lifts to the north…

We should change everything over to snow as the cold front moves through the area, this should happen as we get into the mid/late evening hours on Thursday..

And for most, this going to be a minor storm system… The accumulations should stay in the normal upslope regions into the higher elevations, but less than an inch of snow is possible for the rest of the region…

Stay with us, we’ll keep you ahead of the storm over the next 24–36 hours!

Have a great evening! See you on WBOY 12 News First Edition at 5:00, 12 News at 6:00 & 11:00 PM!
