Vanity and Reflection

Go for it Jerome, I’ve been finding that even the smallest reflections on my work make for big changes. Even if there is only a few people reading, your reflections and insights are important.

Last week I videoed myself talking about why I was stressed, just as an experiment in self care. Something I said in the video was that my organisation is best at crisis work. I mentioned that comment in passing to my manager in a brief conversation the next day. Apparently it was a lightbulb moment for him. The day after we came up with a new approach to a project that has been causing me stress for the last few years. Its so strange what influences change, but I think reflective practice and sharing insight is such an important part of it.
