February 4, 2016
At about 12:30 MST at Queen Creek High School in Queen Creek, Arizona, a student detonated a smoke bomb or flare inside of one of the school’s elevators, causing fire alarms to sound.
No students were in the elevator at the time, and no one is thought to have been injured.
It is unknown who performed the act, but the still-smoking device was found by a teacher and taken into the central courtyard of the school, where many students were gathering due to the incident, and allowed to burn out.
No outside assistance was needed, and classes resumed as normal.
