When the cosmos casts its dice in play,
When fate plants seeds along our way,
We cannot fight the decreed design,
For life's verdicts are not ours to decline.

-

All crumbles to dust, even mountains grand,
A day will dawn when the sun will stand bland,
Seas will surge, fish take to the sky,
Even the strongest fortresses will sigh.

-

Might we ask of spirits in the afterglow,
Who've left the mortal realm below,
"What would you do in our stead?"
"To find peace," they whisper, "let go and tread."

-

From their silent world, they watch with love,
Guiding us gently from the realms above,
"In your hearts, hold us dear, but in sorrow, do not dwell,
In letting go, you honor us well."
