Gorsuch and the Senate — and the ghost of Garland

Just please, don’t let this get personal with Gorsuch. We need to build a politics that treats people we disagree with decently. I don’t know Gorsuch, but from everything I’ve heard from friends who do, Neil Gorsuch is a quintessentially decent person.

Is it personal if I totally dislike that guy’s opinion and position on virtually every major ruling on which he has made them public? He should be denied because he applies fundamentally irrational and biased judgments to every legal decision he makes.

You are right that he should be opposed for political and ethical reasons, but he should also be opposed because he demonstrates a penchant for fuzzy logic and uncritical thinking.

Just because you are a judge doesn’t mean you’re qualified to be a judge.
