Luminex is the first-ever platform to provide such an innovative minting experience in the Ordinals space, and we can’t wait for the MetaBRC community to start using it.

Mint Process Overview

Before diving into the tutorial, let’s go over the details of the mint:

Mint Timelines

  1. Phase 1 — WL Tier 1: Starts June 6th, Tuesday at 9.00am EST. Allocation: 3,500 $MXRC per mint
  2. Phase 2 — WL Tier 2: Starts June 6th, Tuesday at 12.00am EST. Allocation: 3,500 $MXRC per mint
  3. Phase 3 — Public: Starts at June 6th, Tuesday at 6.00pm EST. Allocation: 5,500 $MXRC per mint

Mint Details

1. Payment method: Users can pay directly from Xverse, or by depositing to the Invoice deposit address. Using XVerse is highly suggested to make the mint easier and faster.
2. Bitcoin Network fees: In order to prevent frontrunning, network fees have been set at a fixed rate and can’t be adjusted by the user. After minting, you should typically expect to see your $MXRC within a few hours.

Requirements Before Mint

Before you begin the minting process, it’s essential to ensure that you meet the necessary requirements. This section outlines the prerequisites for minting $MXRC on Luminex.

  1. Bitcoin Ordinals Receiving Address: To receive your $MXRC, you will need a Bitcoin Ordinals-compatible (Taproot) address (addresses start with bc1p…). We highly suggest XVerse or Unisat wallets, because of their native BRC-20 implementation. Ensure that you have access to such an address before initiating the minting process.
  2. Sufficient Funds: To cover the mint fee, make sure you have enough BTC in your Bitcoin wallet to pay for the inscription transaction, this should approximately be equivalent to 0.00075BTC. To be well-prepared and avoid any delays during the mint, you can setup your XVerse wallet and deposit BTC funds before the mint day. By doing so, you’ll be ready to mint your $MXRC as soon as the mint starts.
