10 Amazing places that are out of this world

There are some places in this world that are so beautiful, so unusual that they leave you shaking your head in disbelief….you simply won’t be able to believe they exist. Although some are harder to visit than others, all are accessible to those of you who are adventurous enough.

10: Painted Dunes in Lassen Volcanic National Park, USA

The stunning pink colours at this Californian national park are a result of volcanic activity.

8: Cave of the Crystals in Naica Mine, Mexico

The Cave of Crystals is a cave approximately 300 m (1,000 ft) below the surface in the limestone host rock of the mine. The chamber contains giant selenite crystals, some of the largest natural crystals ever found.

The Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park are one of the most wonderful natural sights in Australia. Thousands of ancient limestone pillars, some of which are up to several metres tall, stand across this desert landscape creating an eerily beautiful vision. There are many ways to see the Pinnacles; drive around the 4km scenic route where there are plenty of places to stop and get out or follow one of the signposted walks

Fearing that the hole was emitting poisonous gases Soviet scientists decided to set light to the gases believing they would burnt out shortly after. That was over 40 years ago and the burning pit has no sign of stopping.

3: Jellyfish Lake, Palau

Voted one of the most surreal places in the world on Tripadvisor, Jellyfish Lake in Palau is both bizarre and brilliant and is certainly a unique place to add to your bucket list!

2: Lake Baikal, Russia

There are few places in the world that match Lake Baikal for its beauty. The mountains, boreal forests, tundra, lakes, islands and steppes, which surround the crystal blue lake, add to its beauty.
