While I agree with most of your assessment of Hillary Clinton, I also find the s$&t-storm of Donald Trump’s reality show of a campaign to be equally offensive and dangerous. With that said, I believe that is where we are as a society here in the U.S..
When the Supreme Court ruled on allowing unlimited and unidentified money to flow to candidates, it was the final blow to “democracy for the people”.
While I admired Bernie Sander’s effort to combat this issue in the primaries, I read yesterday where he is now getting into the game by starting his own PAC. And I don’t blame him.
A majority of the staff quit in protest. That should tell you something.
Today, in politics, like it or not, it’s about the $$$$. The fact that Hillary Clinton or any politician (or wannabe) is trying to make some shouldn’t be surprising to anyone.
Until “We the people” realize that Big Business and Big Government are working together in this scheme we now know as democracy nothing will change.
We the people, must demand that our businesses start making decisions in the best interest of not just their shareholders, but their customers and workers.
We the people, must demand that our pseudo-elected officials in any level of government make decisions that provide for the safety, productivity and welfare of the people who elected them, not just those that contributed to their campaigns and who now are “owed”.
But I fear that is a long way off…
So, what to do in the mean time?
When both choices suck, go with what you know and who is trying to screw the least amount of people with there governing.
With that in mind, the choice is obvious this election.
