I suppose you un-ironically are saying that the House Republicans, and Speaker Ryan, are “fiscally conservative” even though their proposed budget would add $1.7 TRILLION to the federal debt?

That doesn’t meet my definition of conservatism nor fiscally prudent. Not to mention the fact that the Ryan budget gets most of its “savings” on the backs of the lower- and middle-classes.

We can do much better. We should demand better. This is not conservatism.

This is the one brief, shining, moment, to do a full cull from the Republican party ranks of these corporatist, Wall Street Republicans, once and for all. It’s time to return the Republican party to the small, everyman. A party of modesty, fairness, and yes, fiscal conservancy. But it won’t happen until the Republicans shed themselves of the Trumpists and the shills who support the status quo of tax breaks for the 1%.
