Ooo, now it gets specific.

  1. Distributed is usually best if it means closer proximity to weak signals and the environment you are strategizing around.
  2. But distributed also means you need a strong craft reinforcing muscle (in distributed, the challenge becomes maintaining quality across distances)
  3. But also it depends on the talent you have. Not everyone can work effectively distributed (requires a level-up in talent) and lots of companies rush into localizing this role and realize they haven’t hired for it and aren’t supplying critical learning and development.
