I have experienced a Mindfullness Meditation Instructor telling me that such meditation should achieve what I interpret him as alledging as a state of nothingness.
I, by using sound, or breathing or a mantra can rather easily prevent anything else from coming into my mind. Then, what happens next is that I seem to be dreaming and get sort of startled when my alarm goes off to signify passage of 20 min. of meditation (?) time.
I do not achieve any sense of relaxation, or mood elevation. Sometimes I feel a bit of refreshment for what seems like a nap for me. Other times I feel an increased sense of sleepiness.
What do you, Charlie Ambler, experience as a next something or nothing after keeping your mind clear of things other than focus on your breathing?
