This is great, Phil! We have actually explored the concept of Jobs To Be Done recently and are using our findings to guide our product development and marketing.

Yeah, I agree that the functional (filling a need) angle is a great approach, too, especially combined with emotional appeal and social belonging. I definitely experienced all those when I bought my Macbook Air and iPhone 😄
