I am challenging myself as an absolute novice writer with no idea about blogging to start discussing and reflecting about my journey with ‘Life Words’ each week.

Life words are words commonly used to express our thoughts, feelings and behaviors to understand and connect with ourself and with others to form deeper relationships. Yet, we are using these words understatedly, not realizing the full value and power of Life Words. The power to change reality.

I am writing about Life Words to interpret into meaningful, honest and relatable context for deeper knowledge through my understanding and experience. My aim is to share and expand my ideas to connect with others and learn other perspectives of Life Words.

Life Word 50— Rejection

What do you do when you are rejected? Do you become discouraged and feel a low sense of self-esteem? Unable to let go of the past and reliving the negative experiences will lead you to becoming closed off to the opportunities to move forward or learning from the point. At what moment will you pick yourself up and start again?

We feel discouraged when rejected because of the emotional feelings such as self pity, sorrow, anger, frustration or sadness. We find it challenging to accept what has happened, not taking accountability of the actions and consequences. The external factors and conditions resulted in impacting your pride, ego and identity. The influence and opinions of others has damaged you, allowing them to make you feel. They don’t even know your past, your experiences or your life, yet you let others hold too much of your value, dictating your purpose, actions and ways.

The negativity from others can be overwhelming and controlling of your life. It is wedging you between your goals and potential greatness. It creates separation by splitting you away from moving and continuing our path. The more we focus and let negativity flow in from the rejections of others, the bigger it becomes, conveluding our perspective of life.

You have a choice. You can look at rejection, accept the result, take responsibility and learn from the mistakes. Embrace the moment, be strong and make it better next time. Bring light to the moment and open it up instead of putting it away into darkness, consuming energy, time and well-being. Moments come and go, they are transient and pass by when we are intentional to progress with life.

The dust will settle. Clean yourself and start again in a fresh and improved light with more strength and confidence. Seek the vision you have set and step forward again. Suffering and pain is part of the process you endure when you are rejected but it will push you to a new capacity. Loosen the past, hold onto the present and grab the future.

Thank you reading and please leave a comment about your experience on the Life Word.
