The Quantity Surveying role
You will be responsible for the usual range of commercial functions from pre-construction through to Final Account fulfilling the contractual, legislative and statutory requirements of construction contracts. Typical skills and experience required are;
preparing, submitting and agreeing on a budget and to monitoring actual performance against the agreed budget
a good understanding and ability to apply the appropriate financial processes
an understanding and knowledge of materials procurement processes
compiling unit rates and tenders
Your profile
You will be a Quantity Surveyor with experience of civil engineering projects, educated to degree level and have a membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS, CIOB, ICE). You will ideally be, or close to becoming, Chartered.
