Just curious if purchase clothing from companies who have made racially and gender insensitive clothing in the recent past such as, Abercrombie and Fitch, Gap, Target and there are others too. Have you stopped shopping at these places? I know Snapchat took this filter down right away. I am glad you voiced your opinion and know because you spoke out, maybe they will think more the next time they create a culturally-driven filter. I’m hoping that his will help the company reevaluate their current mission and really look at diversity training and cultural sensitivity. Thanks for speaking out. Boycotting is a personal choice and I applaud you using it. I am able to forgive companies a couple of times as they go through growing pains. I don’t believe this was an overt form of racism. I don’t think the people at the top were like, let’s do this to make fun of a race. At least I hope not. There are companies, such as alcohol and tobacco companies that do target the underprivileged who are much more dangerous than this company. I in no way want to downgrade your anger, that is your right. I think each individual needs to consider ALL their consumerism choices. If challenge you to look at every choice you make as a consumer. You might be surprised at what you will find.
