Nihilism in a Cubicle

There’s a cliche that nihilism is a thing most cynics genuinely rely on.

Originally nihilism is a philosophical system that made you believe that there is nothing to believe in.

Some tend to point out Nietzsche as one of the most prominent nihilists, and I think they’re right, who else but a nihilist could have creepy fantasies about his own sister.

What we see now?

Nihilism became the epidemic of the modern society and most of these sick bastards are sitting next to us in the same cubicles facing the wall.

So ok, there’s a 50% chance that either you or your neighbour are nihilists, if it’s not you, sorry you’re sitting next to one.

Now look at your neighbour and read further.

According to his views there’s no point in anything he’s doing, neither in his life. He’s sitting next to you because 9 months before he was born his dad forgot to put on a condom.

Culture? Ethics? Morality? Haha, he scorns the whole existence of these notions. He thinks that these are the instruments that managers of the company he’s working in, as well as the government are using to control the human herd.

This guy’s on his own mind and he doesn’t give a fuck about what someone might say, neither you, nor his boss.

Naturally an average human being can take these principles as an ideal worldview of all cynical bastards or those who want to take everything from life, be a success despite anything, literally.

Nihilism can be infected by hopelessness or disappointment in life. When you have a job that you fucken hate (like the guy sitting next to you), when you don’t have a girl, family, your own house, iPhone 6S+, you can easily become a nihilist.

Nihilism as a philosophy, is a double-edged thing. They had to sacrifice not only social norms, but personal as well. Habits, attachments and other attitudes "lose meaning and fail", everything undergoes rigorous revisions.

"The end justifies the means" - this is of the vital principles of nihilism, and this can be the reason why there was a job offering, and why you were hired, the nihilist next to you decided to get a pay raise.

The guy next to you will easily deprive moral and material comfort of not only you, but his own, if this should be done on the way to his goal, nothing will stop him.

If necessary, he will steal, break your nose, sleep on nails, eat shit, make you eat shit, while openly looking into your eyes, his boss’ and all the way he will experience the sense of inner rightness.

Nihilism is a Freedom with the capital letter F. By entrusting himself to nihilism, this guy freed himself from what has been binding him all his life, this means that he can stand us, break your nose, turn the cubicle over, fuck chief’s secretary, and never be seen again.

Nihilist doesn’t build illusions and never deceives himself, he says, "this is justice."

Nihilist looks into the face of the world with all his hostility and sees only instruments to achieving his own goals, and on the other side when looking at his identity, he sees the same thing.

He will despise everyone and everything and will take care only of himself if he can understand who he is.

He is the freest man, owning nothing to anyone.
