How to become a UX Designer at 40 with no digital or design experience
Guy Ligertwood

Good Stuff! Thanks Guy for sharing. It seems we share a similar path. I too transitioned into UX Design from a different field at 40! And I too went to General Assembly to make the shift as smooth as possible, but I went to GA in San Francisco :)

We have a similar experience overall and I must say it was a really hard decision for me to make the transition. It was confusing at the beginning so anyone reading this, mark my words “being passionate about design overall is not to be confused with UX Design”.

Just a quick example, I personally am not a big fan of User Research though I appreciate the importance of understanding who we design for. It’s a key ingredient but it’s just not the most fun part of design.

Let’s be in touch and see where we end up with our new journey a couple of years from now :)

All the best and good luck!
