In this blog i will try to cover Bezant’s participation at the recent Gamescom in Cologne, Germany from August 21–25, as i’ve tried to gather information from tweets and blogs, and then digged through it all, finding the details you want to know.

Gamescom is marketed as an event with more than 1000 exhibitors from around the globe, and around 500.000 visitors.

From the official gamescom website it’s stated that the 2018 event will have:

  • 919 Exibitors from all over the world
  • 30700 Trade visitors
  • 355000 visitors from 106 countries
  • 25 country pavilions from 23 countries for international business.

Bezant showed up in Germany with a strong lineup, consisting of:

Bezant had their booth set up in Hall 2 | Stand B-069 A-060 (2nd. floor) along with other well known companies.

As you can see another blockchain project “AppCoins” was also present in this Hall and stand, so that might have been pretty fruitful to network with these guys, which was exactly what the bezant team did, as you can see in the image below:

Bezant networking with AppCoins at Gamescom 2018

I did not know much on AppCoins before, and you might be in the same boat, so i’ve found this FAQ from their reddit channel, that describes the project pretty well:

What does AppCoins stand for and what is it?

AppCoins is an open and distributed protocol for app stores. It proposes to move to the blockchain three of the most critical flows of app stores: advertising, in-app purchases and developer’s approval. By redesigning the transactions inside an app store, creates efficiencies by disintermediation and redistributes the value released in a way that create incentives for the AppCoins supported stores dissemination. A cryptocurrency will be created to enable transactions based on the AppCoins protocol: AppCoin Tokens.

What is an AppCoin Token?

AppCoin tokens (“APPC Tokens”) are ERC-20 compatible tokens distributed on the Ethereum blockchain pursuant to a related ERC-20 smart contract. AppCoins is meant for use in the AppCoins blockchain platform to perform transactions in the app store ecosystem.

What can AppCoins be used for?

AppCoin tokens can be used to obtain services on any app store that supports the AppCoins protocol as well as to reward users. Some examples: Developers can invest on advertising to promote their apps; Users can be rewarded with AppCoins by installing and using sponsored apps; Developers can sell and users can buy digital goods using in-app billing;

It’s pretty interesting that Bezant met up with AppCoins, time will tell if Bezant and AppCoins will partner up at some level, as im not too sure if they are competing for the same customers ?

Another interesting picture, that was featured in a tweet from Bezant on day #3 was a picture taken at the “Wirecard” booth, they were also featured in Hall 2, but on the 1st. floor, so located pretty close to Bezant’s own booth.

Left part: Tweets from wirecard — Right part: Wirecard image from Bezant tweet

This is really a teaser from Bezant, as Wirecard is a well established and a pretty huge company established in 1999, with over 2k employees, and a total revenue in 2017 of $1,728 mio.

Wirecard products as listed from their website

Is Bezant in the works of securing a partner deal with Wirecard ? it sure could be a company that would fit well in the Bezant project.

As Wirecard offers the products outlined in the image on the left.

Other images gathered from Bezant tweets:

I have not been able to get more details on the 2 persons appearing in this image other than their ID card says they are “Trade visitors”.

If any readers know who these persons are please let me know, i will gladly update this blog, with this information.

Another unknown person, visiting the Bezant stand.

As the person either did not have any ID card or simply had put it away, it’s not possible to gather much information about him.

Let me know if you have any additional information.

Another unknown person visiting the Bezant stand, this person is wearing a “Exibitor” ID, so not just a ordinary visitor.

I’ve not been able to gather additional information about this person.

Let me know if you have any additional information.

As i think this blog could serve well for being a catalog of pictures posted by Bezant at gamescom 2018, there is still a few more to fill in:

Steve Tay and Julian Migura working hard in the Bezant booth.

It seems that the team was prepared pretty well for such an event as it sure looks like Bezant brochures on the table just in front of Steve Tay.

It’s not possible to gather additional information from that paper lying next to Julian Migura, other than its featured with a red logo and white text, consisting of a few characters.
