BULVRD — Tokenized Community Mapping and Navigation Ecosystem
BULVRD is creating a micro-economy on the Ethereum blockchain centered around a real-time traffic-aware navigation app. The app rewards users with tokens and digital collectibles for driving and making automatic reports on road conditions such as hazards, traffic construction, closures, and police activity.
New advances in Augmented Reality and Machine Learning also enables BULVRD to create a new street-level visual mapping and navigation experience, creating a more informative and safer driving experience for users, while helping enable hyper accurate mapping and automated road reporting detections.

BULVRD kicked off in September of 2018 as part of the Tachyon Accelerator by ConsenSys Ventures. Once completing at the end of 2018, we launched our public app betas in early 2019. Through that time, tens of thousands of users across 30+ countries have covered nearly half a billion miles of driving and helped us refine our ecosystem offerings. Since the beginning of the year, we’ve also partnered with XYO Network, the state of Michigan with their PlantM mobility initiative, completed various hackathons, worked with Status.im and their Keycard technology, and received grants from AWS, Segment, GCP, Esri, mParticle, and mongoDB.
With our recent announcement of partnering with Samsung, Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, and S10 5G owners are now able to seamlessly and securely store their BLVD token earnings directly within the Samsung Blockchain wallet. BULVRD Drive has been listed within the dApp section, enabling one click install. Users will also find the BLVD token right within the wallet, enabling simple and secure transactions.
The core earnings of BULVRD Drive are the means in which a user can earn BLVD tokens (whitepaper). These are ERC-20 tokens, secured by the Ethereum Blockchain. We will not be conducting a token sale, so to earn tokens you will need to download the BULVRD Drive app and start earning!
We’d encourage you to dive into our whitepaper to learn more. Though at a high level users mint tokens by earning them (thus providing market supply), and the multiple use cases for BLVD will provide market demand. This is a different take on traditional ERC-20 token model, and 65% of the total supply is allocated to in-app earning/minting. We have now enabled in-app minting directly to your Ethereum wallet so be sure to start earning today!
Phase 1 of BLVD token uses there will be an emphasis on in-app experiences. This will include an in-app pro subscription managed via an on-chain (ERC-1337) subscription smart contract, limited edition digital collectibles (ERC-721) to customize your map experience, and more.
Phase 2 will enable a location based advertising platform built directly into the BULVRD map. Each ad is a unique (ERC-721) with analytic insights tied to them, enabling secondary markets for location based advertisements and insights.
Phase 3 will enable accessing street level insights via the BLVD token on a per request or on-chain subscription basis (ERC-1337).
BULVRD embraces the decentralized ecosystem by integrating with multiple projects in the space, including the likes of FOAM and XYO Network. BULVRD Drive Android users can also connect directly with their vehicle (1996 and newer) via Bluetooth OBD2 to increase their earnings in-app. BULVD Drive leverages OBD2 streams to enhance the user experience by enabling intelligent vehicle monitoring, as well as by melding with our advanced GPS location and Augmented Reality / Machine Learning to provide the most advanced street level mapping insights. We continue to explore new ways to improve mapping and navigation visuals within BULVRD Drive. Our traffic animations help add context to congested roads. Future iterations will make traffic even more dynamic by matching animations to current moving speed of the traffic.
With our Main net launch, BULVRD Drive Android users are able to acquire limited edition digital collectible map styles to customize their experience. You can find them on the OpenSea Marketplace. OpenSea has added support for the BLVD token in their marketplace to enable buying/selling assets with the BLVD token, so make sure you drive and earn BLVD!
