It is weird when money choices start feeling like moral choices, when really they affect no one but me. My excessive, daily spending on coffee and breakfast makes me feel good (I like the routine of waiting in the drive thru, of earning my Starbucks stars, of eating/drinking predictable fine tasting things) but also bad (if I would just make my own stuff it would be so much less lazy and cheaper! I’m so basic with my Starbucks habit! Why does this taste better in their dumb plastic cups than when I put coffee in a reusable tumbler!?) When I was refilling my Starbucks card today I was like “again already?” because it does add up and that doesn’t make me a bad person but it DOES make me kinda bad at money (since this is money that could go towards debt.)
