“I never dreamed about a big white wedding dress or a single home with a white picket fence”

Just agreeing with the other comments, I think there’s just some girls who grow up with that particular vision in mind and some who don’t. I never did (partially because I grew up thinking it would never be legal for me to marry another woman before I realized I was actually bi and ended up marrying a man…and now I could legally marry a woman if I wanted! But that kind of mentality really painted the whole marriage concept for me) and I still don’t want kids, and kids usually figure into that vision. But I had friends who were all along the spectrum in “big white dress/picket fence/kids and husband” fantasizing.
