To combat dry skin problem, you can find many lotions and natural moisturizers for dry skin. But there are some natural home remedies that are effective in hydrating and nourishing dry skin.

Natural Moisturizer for Dry Skin

Body Butter

Home Remedies for Dry Skin

Olive Oil

Put a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil before applying a regular moisturizer.

Rub some olive oil on your legs, hands, and other dry skin areas and massage gently around 30 minutes before taking shower. After taking shower, apply a moisturizer.

Add 2 tbsp of olive oil, 4 tbsp of fine brown sugar, and one tbsp of honey and make a homemade scrub. Rub it on your dry skin in circular motions for a while. Take shower and apply any light moisturizer.

Milk Cream

Milk cream contains lactic acid to exfoliate your dry skin. It is known to be very soothing to preserve the pH level of your skin. It is also a great moisturizer.

Blend a few drops of lemon juice — 1 tsp of milk and 2 tsp of milk cream. Rub on your legs and hands. Let it to sit for a while before taking shower. Do it once in a day.

Add some milk cream to 3–4 tbsp of gram flour and make a thick paste. Apply it on your hands, face, and legs. Let it to sit for 15 minutes and wash it with lukewarm water. Do it once in a day.

Honey

Honey is known to be one of the best natural moisturizers as it is enriched with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties and humectants. Hence, it locks in the moisture to make your skin extra glowing and soft. In addition, honey has several vital minerals and vitamins to improve the skin health.

Rub honey all around the body and let it sit on for 5 to 10 minutes before taking shower or bath. Do it every day for well moisturized skin.
