Reed Hastings is an American businessman and co-founder of Netflix. Hastings was born in 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1983, he earned a bachelor degree in Mathematics from Bowdoin College. Following college, he joined the Peace Corps and taught math at a high school in Africa for two years. After the Peace Corps, Hastings earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Stanford.
