Keeping up to date with the world

I care about what’s going on with the world, but I’ve never been one to buy a paper. Who does these days anyway, right…? I wish I knew more, and had the thirst to scour twitter for tidbits on current affairs, rather than stalk old school friends on Facebook but it’s a new behaviour for me, one that should come with age.

Being told news is great, but being the newsbearer is so much more fun. This year, I’ve made it my mission to get more worldly. Not just what’s going on on BBC News but just generally speaking. I want to know about new apps before they’re old news and have been tossed aside by teenagers.

My family used to mock me for my lack of knowledge on current affairs. Tsk. So, what have I done, I hear you ask. I’ve channelled this notion into a social media channel. Yes, I am hunting for big and small news and feeding anyone who follows.
