Let there be coffee.

Coffee makes me happy.

In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove.

And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.

And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy declared,

“Let there be COFFEE!”

and coffee was born. :)

(taken from old school testament; Chuck Roberts:My House)

Coffee that we know today have originally evolved in the wild in East Africa; but global exploration took her to many cultures; and today is cultivated in more than 70 countries worldwide.

The old legend says that a young Ethiopian goatherd found his goats tireless bouncing after chewing an unusual plant. He tried some himself and feeling energized; he brought some of the magical plant back to community. Word spread, and the rest is history.

Speaking of goats; I particularly like this goat mug on Kickstarter; collaboration of Equa and Desnahemisfera:

So, what is the science behind the C8H10N4O2?

There is a deep art and science behind the bean; whole anatomy of coffee:the chemistry of caffeine; the best way to roast, grind and brew the beans to their peak flavor; and what gadget you may need for the perfect cup.

But, first coffee.

Going back to April, 23rd, on a sunny Sunday morning, after a long walk in Yoyogi park. There it was;Little Nap Coffee Stand, best coffee in the city to have my 1-cup-per day-black-no sugar- no milk-pure aroma.

Owner, an avid music lover, Daisuke Hamada was travelling to Italy long time ago; where he tried his 1st espresso; that made him think how cool would it be to be a barista. Today he is trying to capture the condition of the day through the natural environment, like weather and temperature. Based on that; he is recreating the flavor of the day.

That is a special story about the special coffee in Tokyo; Litle Nap Coffee Stand, close to beautiful Yoyogi park.

This is a restful place where you can commune with others or enjoy time out alone; a place where people of different backgrounds have serendipitous meet ups, encouring new collaborations and ideas.

After getting my favorite aroma; I went outside and sat on the fence across the Little Nap to enjoy in laid-back atmosphere together with people who accidentally found themselves there on a sunny Sunday morning.
