Introduction

For decades, making healthcare affordable has always been an impossible mission in America due to the government’s ignorance and failure to recognize the fault within the current healthcare system. With medical cost rises every year, many Americans are on edge to lose access to what they have been relying on all their life, healthcare. Since not everyone in the U.S. is in the position to pay the high-cost insurance that health companies offered, many Americans are forced to live without health insurance to cover their medical bills. As a result, most patients will only go to the hospital when they are in urgent and will have to spend more money to get the treatments that they needed. As a matter of fact, according to a CNBC report, medical expenses were ranked the number one reason that leads to tremendous bankruptcy in the U.S. which indicate how expensive U.S. healthcare is and that Americans must do something about it. One possible solution to this problem is to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) into the U.S. healthcare system and change the way we access healthcare today.

I want to bring up the importance of AI in healthcare by making a brochure and post it on social media so people around the world can see it. The purpose of this brochure is to inform readers about the benefits of AI in healthcare with a cool background to make it look appealing. I also have a link to a peer-review paper that readers can look up to read more about the benefits of AI on healthcare if they interested.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the past decade has caused a lot of fear and anxiety for society mainly due to their ability to stimulate humans intelligence. As AI continues to grow, it is significant that we regulate them strictly and makes sure that everyone can be safe around AI. With the current AI we have, I am curious to learn more about how society feels about AI and how has AI impact their life. For my study, I decided to conduct a short survey about AI and have them fill it out through the site SurveyMonkey.

For my study, I have 32 participants, ranged from below 18 to 40 which makes the study sample age diverse. Most participants age between 18 to 25 and they do not have a job, meaning they are probably a student and do not have time to work. Based on the result of the survey, it was surprising for me to learn about how fast AI’s popularity is growing in the past decades, that almost everyone, at any age, is familiar or at least mindful of AI existence. Since today’s world is all about technology, it is expected of me to see roughly about 90% of the participant’s age between 18 to 25 to said to be someone who enjoys technology in the survey since they are most likely to be the group of people who uses technology the most unlike other groups of people. The 10% of participants who said no are the people in the 30–40 age range which shows how older people tend to stay away from technology and are more traditional. When it comes to asking about how participants feel about having AI implemented to their home and devices, most participants say they feel both excited and scary at the same time which might because of how participants do not feel safe letting AI collecting their data just for better service. …

Findings

For my study, I have 32 participants, ranged from below 18 to 40 which makes the study sample age diverse. Most participants age between 18 to 25 and they do not have a job, meaning they are probably a student and do not have time to work. Introduction

For decades, scientists have been trying to find the most effective treatments for cancer but were unsuccessful due to the complexity of cancer cells and how they behave differently in each human body. With the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), scientists can now make predictions on the behavior of cancers and help them design the most effective treatment for patients.

The Article

We can further see the effects of AI on healthcare in a peer-reviewed journal, “Assessing the Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Clinical Oncology: Utility of Machine Learning in Radiotherapy Target Volume Delineation” published on December 11, 2018, by Ian S. Boon, Tracy P.T. Au Yong, and Cheng S. Boon, which provides information about the effectiveness of AI and why it is helpful when comes to treating cancer. The journal begins with a brief introduction to the topics, which purpose is to give readers background information about radiotherapy and AI, and explain how they work in real life with hyperlinks to support their arguments. Then, they continue to talk about the applications of AI in radiotherapy and explain how scientists can use AI to look for cancers in images. Furthermore, they discuss a few challenges that they face when it comes to designing AI and how the language barrier between programmers and doctors can significantly change the result of the program. …

The Blog

With the rise of fake news and scammed sites, it’s often difficult for people to recognize whether a site is credible or not due to several reasons. Especially when it comes to buying products online, it is always crucial that we pay attention to details and sources of the site to make ourselves safe from scam sites. In this blog, we will be examining the article titled “Chatbots: A new way to communicate with your customers,” last updated on December 12, 2018, by BotsCrew talks about the benefits of chatbots and why readers should buy one of their chatbots for more effective communication. The article starts with a brief introduction to chatbots, explaining to readers the three types of chatbots which being the Rule-based chatbots, Intellectually Independent chatbots, and AI-powered chatbots. It then talks about the benefits of chatbots with using popular chatbots like Ailira and Dr. Dean to further explain what chatbots are capable of doing, and why readers should buy their chatbots. …

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is arguably one of humanity’s proudest creation of all time. Because of AI existence, we now have self-driving cars, chatbots, speech recognition, a machine that can analyze cancer tissue and so much more! As useful and cool as AI might seem, this powerful creation also comes with high risk. For instance, in the NYT article written by Kelsey Atherton titled “Are Killer Robots the Future of War? Parsing the Facts on Autonomous Weapons”, talks about how AI can cause mass destruction and why we should regulate AI more strictly.

At the beginning of the article, Atherton paints a picture of how war breaks out between two countries simply because an AI soldier misinterpreted a behavior as an attack. He then talks about the history of autonomous weapons and how the system works with examples from American history. After that, he explains the argument of why autonomous machines are dangerous with an example from a Tesla self-driving car and how it accidentally killed its owner. For his conclusion, Atherton ended with a note reminding us to be careful of AI and ensure that we regulate it regularly. …

Stephen Hawking once said, “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race”.

Like Stephen Hawking, many people are concerned about the existence of artificial intelligence (AI), saying how creating AI is humanity biggest mistake and want to stop the development of AI as soon as possible. As someone who is always skeptical about the existence of AI, I am interested in learning more about AI and how they will impact humanity future.

AI is a concept in computer science that goal is to give computers the ability to learn like humans, hoping to expand computer’s capability and open more opportunity for humans as we continue to explore the world. With AI’s ability to learn and evolve, it is arguably one of humanity most advanced technology of all time and that we should expect AI to become more powerful in the next decades or so as we continue to invest more resources into improving it. As AI is becoming more advanced, more people will start to think that the movie Matrix is real and AI will become killer robots like in the movie Terminator and take over the world. As a result, society will start to oppose the development of AI looking at the good aspects of it and make sure that AI is strictly regulated. …
