After the authorities of Thailand met a halfway with the cryptocurrency business and adopted the relevant legislation, the country started developing i this direction. Thus, the largest network of cinemas Major Cineplex allowed visitors to make payments in cryptocurrencies. This initiative will be developed in partnership with the Swiss payment company Rapidzpay.

Currently, there are 143 cinemas in Thailand, which are part of this network, including the largest in the country — Paragon Cineplex, which operates in the capital, Bangkok. Major Cineplex also has its own cinemas in Cambodia and Laos, and the company intends to monitor the development of legislation in these countries to take advantage of the Thai experience. In general, the company has 678 halls for the screening of films, and its plans include increasing their number to one thousand.

It is interesting that the development of such business will contribute to the further spread of cryptocurrencies, that is, there is an obvious positive synergistic effect. It is expected that initially as a means of payment will be accepted Bitcoins, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin. Thai authorities strongly encourage the use of cryptocurrencies as means of payment.
