Actor and veteran singer Ariel Rivera give his opinion on Richard Reynoso and Daniel Padilla Controversy.

Recently, Reynoso criticized Padilla on his Facebook account during the latter’s performance in the Binibining Pilipinas Pageant.

“Halehalehoys!!! Iba na talaga ang panahon ngayon. Dati, pag kumakanta ka sa ‘beauty pageant’, hinaharana mo yung mga kandidata and make them feel na sila ang pinakamagandang babae at the very moment. Ngayon, mukhang backdrop na lang ang mga kandidata at di na din yata required na nasa tono ka sa pagkanta. Nuba?! #binibiningpilipinas2017 #walanamangganyanan #sobrangdismayado #ginawangvideokeangbigdome #ibanatalagangayon #wasak #walanabangiba”

On the other hand, Rivera shows his sentiments and said that singing tune is not required at all.

“Opinions matter, but in terms of commenting on how a person performs, I don’t think that’s right,” Rivera said.

“That’s more of production problems there,” he added.

He also said it is not right to criticize your co-artist’s performance because every singer has their own style and rendition.

“Not everybody sings well but that doesn’t mean that they don’t perform well, you know.”

Riveral pointed out Bob Dylan as an example who might not be an excellent singer but performs from the heart.

“You shouldn’t criticize the performance of others ’coz not even Gary (Valenciano) or Martin (Nievera), laging 100 percent. There are days may sakit ’yan, may days na something happened in their life, so it’s hard to criticize and it is difficult to criticize someone who performs on stage with thousands of (paying) people watching,” he further explained.
