If you’ve ever had a history of heart attacks, it runs in your family, and/or you think you might be having one soon, don’t dismiss the symptoms! It’s your heart we’re talking about right here!
Heart attacks can happen because a part of the heart is not functioning the way it should. As the “pump” that makes the blood in your body flow which means that the oxygen that your organs need to function won’t get what they need.
So, what are the symptoms? Glad you asked! Here are some of the early symptoms that you should look out for!
1. Chest pain
Most likely with women, this is actually one of the most alarming and easy to recognize symptoms. If you feel a sharp pain or discomfort in your heart, that could be a sign.
2. Jaw Pain
Now, this one is not that well known when it comes to heart attacks but there are actually reports of people having jaw pain before a heart attack. There’s also toothache and headache so watch out for those!
3. Loss of vision or blurring of vision
Here’s another! If you are feeling that your eyes are blurring or that you are losing your vision, you should definitely have yourself checked. There veins in your eyes are not that big so when not enough oxygen goes through it, it could cause this.
4. Shortness of breath
Another, common symptom, known medically as dyspnea, this goes hand in hand with chest pains that you can feel before the attack occurs.
Now this one is less common but alarming nonetheless, this is usually accompanied by belching or burping. There are some cases of patients saying that they felt a feeling of indigestion before the attack, this is what they gelt.
When number 5 gets severe, this is a symptom that can follow.
7. Sudden numbness in limbs
This comes when the chest pain spread throughout the body, it can even extend to the digits. Although, this is more likely to happen in the left side of the body but the right side can also feel such effects.
8. Cold Sweat
Especially if there’s not much physical activity going on, this is definitely a good indicator for you or the person feeling it to get an ambulance.
Like cold sweats, this is also a proven symptom for some cases, especially if it’s persistent and long.
10. Upper Back Pain
This one is also something to worry about because it could mean that the chest pain is starting to spread in your body. Usually, this is felt between the shoulder blades.
