Please keep attention to the details. Apple put Lisa and its icon interface in the market several years before. Due to its high price, Apple slimmed it down in size, specs and price to produce a personal computer for the people. Non techies loved the Mac. Techies used to work with workstations loved the Mac against IBM PC and its cumbersome 80x25 green character interface. Mac allowed a clear jump in productivity working with PC for the real public. Learning curve was clearly reduced. Opposition came only from mainframe and typewriter guys. Many thanks Steve.
