Mario Testino is a Peruvian photographer who has photographed many iconic females for various magazines and reached fame in today’s tedious world of photography. Testino was the photographer I picked because he started from nearly nothing and worked his way up to photographing famous models. He came to London in 1976, took a flat in an abandoned hospital near Trafalgar Square, and began selling portfolios for £25, including hair and make-up to wannabe models. At the very height of his career he photographed Madonna for Versace. His pictures depict women n a very iconic way and now he photographs for vogue magazine. I chose Mario because he made his way from almost nothing to being able to photograph some of the most influential women we see today and this is truly inspiring.
