Top Ways to Maximize Your Talents
I remember reading Deepak Chopra’s 7 Spiritual Laws Of Success years ago.
In it, he asks the question: If you had all the money in the world, what would you do?
Later in the book, he also says to find what our “unique talents” are.
Man, did I struggle with these questions!
I wrote countless lists of skills and gifts I thought I had.
Little did I know that finding our unique talents would be a journey…
…but boy is it worth it!
Let me ask you this:
Are you maximizing your strengths and promoting your talents to get where you want to be?
If you have sharp analytical skills, have you sought to apply those skills to your current situation?
You have gifts and talents to offer the world.
Your business, clients, or employer desperately need to use your talents NOW.
Just what ARE your talents and how can you apply them to your life?
Here are a few questions you may ask yourself:
Discover Your Hidden Talents (write them down below the question)
a.What are your strengths and weaknesses?
b. How can you capitalize on your strengths and improve your weaknesses?
c. Can you enhance your strengths and dissipate your weaknesses by learning on-the-job or by taking additional classes or training?
Promote Your Talents Within
a. Once you have an analysis of the talents you have to offer, start promoting them. If you don’t tout them, then no one will.
b. Talk with your boss or your coach about helping out. Your pathway to the top is by helping others and show them you can be counted on.
a. After you tell others about your hidden talents and your ideas for using them, you must live by your words. Remember, your integrity is at stake here!
b. Using your talents is not a one-day project; it is a journey. So go out there, and put your talent to work!
Listen, I have learned that our real, hidden gifts bring the “magic” out of us.
