A contradiction (of sorts)…
In your last paragraph you state there are no “legal” mechanisms in place to overturn the coup (my assessment), and then offer informal processes as a possibility to halt the Trump juggernaut. If I’m not mistaken, many informal processes are “legal”. Take for example boycott.
If 25M to 50M of us boycott all Disney related businesses, withdraw our funds from Wells Fargo, and stop shopping at WalMart, the respective stock prices would immediately begin a precipitous fall, the markets would be thrown into chaos, the press would have a different kind of news to offer, foreign leaders would start calling with a WTF question or two, and the Boards and Executives of the aforementioned entities would be on the phone so fast to their lackeys in Congress, we might, just might get an impeachment started.
Phone calling, letter writing, or marching in the street will have no effect on the reversal of that which is taking place as we write and read these well written articles. Only robbing the elite of the one thing they have which we don’t, their money, will bring about change.
