A Guide To EPS
In an industry that is ripe with exploits, rugs, and scams, we carefully consider every on-chain interaction we demand from our holders and ardently push for better security practices.
Our EPS integration is the next step for a more secure on-chain journey. Developed by the prolific builder wassie Omnus, EPS is a layer that separates your precious JPEGs from the wild west of crypto. It leverages the often missed utility of hot wallets to handle on-chain interactions and keeps your wassies intact and secure in their cold wallet.
Basically, EPS is the technology that will let us see inside the fridge without opening the door. It takes less than 5 minutes to set it up, it’s free, and once you are done, your NFTs are secured forever, so you cannot get scammed even if you tried.
All you need is to complete three simple steps:
- Have the following items ready:
- A hot wallet with nothing but a small amount of dust on Ethereum to settle the gas fees.
- The cold wallet you keep your wassies in.
2. Follow the instructions on https://view.eternalproxy.com/ to set your Hot Wallet and Cold Wallet.
a. Add the EPSAPI token to your metamask / web3 wallet provider. (you can either click the Add EPSAPI button on the EPS site OR add it the token manually with these details:
Token Contract Address: 0x0000000000000aF8FE6E4DE40F4804C90fA8Ea8F
Token Symbol: EPSAPI
Token Decimal: 18
b. Send 1 EPSAPI from your Hot wallet to your Cold wallet
c. Send 2 EPSAPI from your Cold wallet to your Hot wallet
3. Connect to bywassies.com with your hot wallet and download your 3D model.
Done. You are set.
Now, whenever we need to verify ownership, your cold wallet will remain unbothered, happy, and flourishing while your wassieless hot wallet will do all the dirty work. Or in other words, you will never need to connect your cold wallet to our services as the hot wallet will be enough.
For visual learners, here is a guide from our wonderful Alice explaining how to set up EPS for your wallets.
Once you have EPS set, follow the steps below to download your 3D model.

Looms comments:
We understand that there is some friction in this integration. However, not only do I think the friction is justified for the long-term security benefits usage of a proxy system brings, but it’s also important to note that having a semi-regular overhaul and overview of how you handle your NFTs and other crypto assets is never a bad thing.
I know some people will not do as we recommend (having a cold wallet with their wassies secured by either a hardware wallet or any other form of secure wallet, and a hot wallet with effectively no assets on it secured either via a Metamask web wallet or whatever (just pls make sure to back up the key still!!)) but if we can even convince a few people to upgrade their security setup with this, then our job is succesful.
Security notes:
You are never actually interacting with EPS. All EPS is doing is noting you sent some coins from a cold wallet to a hot wallet, and then from a hot wallet to a cold wallet. it’s the reason we went with this system. There is no security risk as you are in complete control of the transactions. Sending an ERC20 token poses no risks to your NFTs or other assets as you are not signing any transactions. The bywassies site will never ask you to sign transactions
