BZEdge status update December 5, 2019
We reached a lot of short term goals since the last update. Many of them were small issues reported by users which we were able to resolve. The rest of them put us back on track.
We changed directions to structure our work better, established bounties for the features we need help with, and continued development.
Testnet up and running
We had to bring our testnet back from the dead and stabilise it. You can find the links to resources — like explorer and pool — on our website. If you notice something wrong and you need some testnet coins please let us know in discord or on alphateam@getbze.com. We’re in the testing phase of masternodes but we can say they are 100% functional as of a few days ago. Payments are being processed and MNs do their job as intended. We plan on leaving a small GPU rig on it and ensure that any developer can test BZE integration with a real blockchain.
Website update
We always stated — and we still stand by this decision — that the website has to be the main source of information for newcomers and old supporters. Like we said not long ago, we will announce only projects that are at least half working or in an Alpha state. Only important projects that are necessary will be announced before we begin working on them.
Block Rewards
We have noticed that our planned block reward schedule had some miscalculations. With the old block reward schedule — see picture above — the max supply would be below 3.03B and would be achieved in 2024. Correcting this gave us the chance to keep rewards a little higher from this point in order to reward MNs with more coins/block and to reach the max supply of exactly 3.03B in more than seven years. Donations used
Masternodes could be implemented by our team with the help of donations from the community. We were able to raise 1.3 million BZE quickly from donors and then the rest of the 3 million goal as well as 0.02 BTC. We greatly appreciate the support from our community and invite you to continue supporting the project.

Official pool
As you may have noticed if you follow us on twitter, discord or telegram the official pool was migrated to a new server and software. This pool is dedicated to those that always wanted a dev fee to support the project. Each block found on the official pool will send 5% of the reward to the developers. All the income will be used for bounties, contests and in the best interest of the project.
