I love psychology tricks and this one is so practical and genius! Thank you for sharing! I used to be a great runner, but since moving to college my running routine has dissolved. By giving myself the reward of listening to, like you said, a podcast or certain music only when I run I think my brain would totally be tricked into loving running again. My only thing is in high school my coach wouldn’t allow us to listen to anything while we ran to create mental toughness while we ran and so I found my runs as a great time to think and reflect about things. Hopefully, once I am back in the habit I can ween myself off of the music and use that time to think. I hope this mentality isn’t jumping the gun.
