What is Travel and is it a Political act?

When travel is brought up most tend to think of the destination and the sights to see at a foreign area. Travel, is in fact a lot more than that; Travel is another countries’ areas, cultures, goods, and the lives of it’s people. Travel is increased through the exploit of the countries’ or state’s land, thus resulting in environmental damage. The country’s politics dictate and determine how tourism is effected. In many cases, the environment is being exploited for the desired increase in tourism, which fuels the economy.

Simply traveling can also be a political act. Travel may increase one country’s foreign affairs, such as more tourists can increase the country’s relationship. The political figures are not happy unless there is revenue, so a way to increase travel will benefit the politics of the nation. Also learning of another country’s tourists locations can promote the country, and will increase in the travel of the country. If travel is increased, then the source of income will increase which will benefit the politics of the nation.
