Artificial Intelligence (AI) has taken the world by storm, and AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Bing, and Google Bard have been developed to help people find the information they need in a matter of seconds. In this article, we will take a closer look at these three AI chatbots and compare them to see which one is the most helpful.

ChatGPT: Autocorrect on Steroids ChatGPT is an AI chatbot developed by OpenAI, which uses a large language model (LLM) to produce sentences that mimic human responses. Unlike traditional search engines that provide a list of links to websites that most closely match a person’s query, ChatGPT goes through large sets of data to give people the answer they need. ChatGPT has been described as “autocorrect on steroids” because of the novel, human-like answers it provides in seconds. ChatGPT earned instant and widespread attention for bringing an AI engine to the masses, free of charge, and it has an estimated 100 million active users.

Bing: The Fastest Growing Web Platform Ever Bing is a search engine developed by Microsoft that had previously had less than 3% of search market share. But when ChatGPT launched late last year, Microsoft’s Bing quickly embraced the technology, integrating AI into its search engine. Microsoft licenses GPT tech from OpenAI into Bing, and it has seen a nearly 16% bump in traffic since. Bing uses the “Prometheus Model,” a proprietary way of working with the OpenAI model that combines Bing’s search index with GPT-4 to provide up-to-date information. Bing also lets people augment conversation styles between balanced, creative, and precise.

Google Bard: Less Text-Heavy Responses Google Bard is an AI chatbot developed by Google that uses its own model called LaMDA to provide human-like answers. Google Bard aims to give less text-heavy responses, often with images, and it is currently in an invite-only beta. Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that Bard will be switching to PaLM, a more advanced dataset, in the near future. In tests, of the three AI chatbots, Bard was the least reliable, sometimes making factual errors.

Key Differences Among the AI Chatbots While ChatGPT, Bing, and Google Bard all aim to give human-like answers to questions, each performs differently. Bing and ChatGPT piggyback off the same technology but yield different results because Bing adds its layer on top of GPT-4, allowing it to give up-to-date information. Meanwhile, Google Bard uses its own model called LaMDA, which gives less text-heavy responses. All three AI chatbots can sometimes make factual errors, but Bard was the least reliable in tests.

Conclusion In conclusion, ChatGPT, Bing, and Google Bard are all AI chatbots that provide human-like answers to questions, but each one has its strengths and weaknesses. ChatGPT is free of charge and has an estimated 100 million active users, while Bing has seen a nearly 16% bump in traffic since integrating GPT tech. Google Bard aims to give less text-heavy responses, often with images. So, which AI chatbot is the most helpful? That depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re after the most reliable and up-to-date information, Bing is a good choice. If you want a more creative and precise conversation, Bing also allows you to augment your conversation style. Finally, if you’re looking for less text-heavy responses, then Google Bard may be the one for you.
