Out of control, unfettered capitalism is nothing more than feudalism — a king, a few high rollers in his court and the rest miserable serfs. On the other extreme, where there is no capitalism there is only primitive tribalism, a stuck in the mud, going nowhere society.

Capitalism can be a good engine for society, but it makes for a terrible helmsman to give society an uplifting and positive direction. As I keep saying, the best type of society for all the people is a society that is a finely balanced blend of capitalism and socialism.
