Trump And Cruz Become Blood Brothers

If Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz decide at the last minute to unit forces against Governor Kasich, the Republican establishment cannot possibly prevail in any convention floor fight. It has likely always been Cruz’s intention to become Trump’s blood brother when push comes to shove. If there’s a politician more opportunistic than Trump, it is Cruz.

Anyone who lacks qualms about throwing the nation under the bus at a cost of 25 billion will have no trouble allying himself with the Devil himself if he thinks it will serve his personal interests. Indeed the only Republican principle Cruz really respects is whatever it is that promotes his own cause.

When the Republican Party shatters, it is pretty certain that Trump and Cruz will, at least at the start, be the dual leaders of the new political entity, with the distinct likelihood of the name Republican remaining with the outsiders. But of course eventually there must come a final struggle between the two megalomaniacs for total dominance of the political offshoot.
