Mr. Schumer;
Has it been that long ago that everyone in this country was outraged by the NSA tracking/storing of our phone meta-data? https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/nsas-bulk-collection-of-americans-phone-records-ends-sunday/2015/11/27/75dc62e2-9546-11e5-a2d6-f57908580b1f_story.html?utm_term=.911bfc65fbd7
We now have an administration that is not only casting doubt on our voting system (and demanding specific voter data), but also demanding identities of internet users who accessed an anti-Trump web site.
What exactly is the objective of just these two efforts? (And how many others are we unaware of?)
If our federal government has a central database with individual voter preferences, individual voter internet activities (or even just identities), what exactly is all that data good for? (One Google search of that database for ‘Who voted against DJT in 2016’ gives a very scary picture! Talk about voter suppression!)
My primary question; where is the public outrage? Have we become so used to the constant chaos of this administration that we are not even able to connect the dots? That there is so much chern above water that we’re unable to identify the sharks below?
We are dealing with a true Constitutional crisis (on so many fronts). I worry for my children/grandchildrens future! I worry that we won’t come out on the other side with even a semblance of Democracy, much less the USA our founders intended.
Thank you for your efforts and please continue to fight what I fear is a dictatorship in the making!
