Abigail, 75, had been living alone in the countryside since her husband passed away. She had raised her two children, Nathan and Emily, on her own.

Nathan had settled down in the city and Emily had married into a family in another city. Abigail was left to live alone in the countryside, and as a result of her hard work over the years, she had developed several health problems.

Nathan would give her 1,000 yuan in living expenses every month, and Emily’s family, who were not well-off, could only afford to give her 1,000 yuan as well.

It wasn’t until Abigail fell ill and was hospitalized over a year ago that Nathan finally decided to take her in and asked for her help in taking care of his three-year-old son, Ben.

Abigail happily agreed and moved in with Nathan’s family. She loved Ben dearly and would wake up early every morning to dress him and prepare a nutritious breakfast for him.

After breakfast, Abigail would play with Ben, teaching him to recognize words and playing with building blocks. At noon, she would cook a nutritious meal for him, and in the afternoon, she would take him to the park or the library.

Abigail devoted herself to Ben, trying every way to make him happy and healthy. However, Ben was quite mischievous and wouldn’t listen…
