When I was a younger, immature leader, I expected everyone to be like me. I thought leadership was getting people to like what I like, hate what I hate, do what I do. I thought that a leader was a benchmark for everyone to imitate with the goal of making everyone the same.

Now I understand that a great leader is one that can bring out the best in everyone by helping them thrive in their own unique way. A great leader can unite a group of people with a common vision without sacrificing diversity.

If you are a leader, stop prioritizing and elevating the following:
- your temperament and personality type
- your social preferences
- your love language
- your hobbies and interests
- your gifts and talents
- your leadership style
- your struggles and battles
- your strengths and victories
- etc etc etc

Not everyone is like you. People are complex. Life is complex.

The best leaders equip people with tools to live their best lives!
