The Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals, George Brown College Branch Team (CAFP GBC) are a small group of individuals who invest in their time to help the students. The team is enthusiastic about the hospitality industry and are excited to share their knowledge and experience with other liked-minded members.

Background: I am currently in my final year of the Bachelor of Applied Business, Hospitality Operations Management at George Brown College. I have also completed my diploma in Special Event Planning at George Brown College.
People like to consider me: Passionate, enthusiastic, hardworking,friendly, and optimistic.
Future Career Goals: My future career goal is to work as an Event Coordinator in the Corporate Industry. After gaining my skills and knowledge, I will further utilize my passionate to pursue my dreams in starting and running my own charity to build homes, schools, and to feed those who are underprivileged.
How would you like to contribute to the CAFP Members? I would like to get to know all the CAFP members and understand their aspirations. I also want to teach them many professional skills that would help them succeed in the hospitality industry. I do understand that it is difficult to find a job right after school, which is why I would like to guide each member onto the right path. One of my goals as a president is to help all the CAFP GBC members take their first steps in becoming a professional!

Vice President of Communications, Theresa Betty
Background:This is my second year in the Bachelor of Applied Business, Hospitality Operations Management program at George Brown College. I am originally from Jamaica, and have lived here for almost three years now. Growing up around an economy which depends on Tourism, hospitality is my natural passion.
People like to consider me: Driven, ambitious, loyal and honest.
Future Career Goals: My future goal in Hospitality is to own a boutique hotel in the Caribbean.
How would you like to contribute to the CAFP Members? Having some experience in the field of Hospitality and networking, I would love to assist in any way which will impact members positively and bring them closer to their goals for their program, career and life.

Emily Meko, Vice-President of Events
Background:After completing an undergrad in nutrition at University of Guelph, I decided that a career in dietetic counselling just wasn't for me. I came to George Brown College in pursuit of my dream of becoming a well-rounded epic foodie. When I’m not playing in my kitchen and making epic food porn, you can find me at the barn with my horse or walking anywhere and everywhere at ungodly hours of the morning.
People like to consider me: Genuine, quirky and a little off beat, self-motivated, passionate
Future Career Goals: I own a vegan and gluten-free packaged foods and catering business, Eat What’s Good (www.eatwhatsgood.com or https://www.facebook.com/Eat.Whats.Good#). I would like to develop this into a larger scale business that will sustain me on a fulltime basis when I graduate this spring.
How would you like to contribute to the CAFP Members? This is my fourth year with the CAFP. I have been president and events manager at University of Guelph and I have been to the past three national conferences. I hope I can provide my executive teammates and general members with some experienced insight on how the organization works, what to expect of it, and how to get the most out of your time as a member. I am happy to help connect new members with the network of professionals that I have had the pleasure of getting to know these past few years, and I would love to mentor any new members who want to get more involved with the CAFP or who have entrepreneurial dreams of their own.

How would you like to contribute to the CAFP Members? Answer their questions and concerns regarding to their school work, career, specific problem they have.
- Share my experiences and knowledge with them.
- Explain the structure of CAFP and guide them to become the future executive committees.
- Introduce them to CAFP industry members and providing them some useful tips on how to networking with people.
